So What is a Computer ?

According To Google Definition

"A computer is an electonical device that use for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to insctruction given to it in a variable program."

All devices that used for processing a data is called a computer. Not only a PC or Laptop, and maybe MAC. There are many kind of computer you should know. Computer consist of many different hardware and software. Many people asking and maybe you....

What is a Hardware ?

According To Wikipedia Definition

"A computer hardware is a physical parts or component that constitute a computer system"

A computer hardware is divided in a two kinds. That is Main Component and Accessories. The main component of a computer are monitor, harddrive, processor, graphic card, ram, motherboard, lan and others. Accessories of a computer are keyboard, mouse, webcam, headphone and others

According to that definition we can conclude that hardware is the main component in a computer, because they are the physical parts of computer. If we equate with human beings, the hardware is our organ. The hardware in human being are heart, brain, kidney and others. If in a computer the hardware are keyboard, mouse, processor, memory, harddisk, monitor(display), and others. "Hold on, What is it All?" Here are the example of the computer's hardware.

1st is a Monitor

Monitor is a component that make all instruction that has been processed by the processor displayed. There are many kind of monitor display, such as Retina Display, LCD, IPS, TFT, AMOLED and LED, and the most popular display is LED (Light-Emitting-Diode) and IPS. LED have a features that can produce more PPI (Pixel-Per-Inch), and can produce a better lighting and maybe also a better color.

2nd is a Storage Device

Harddisk is a component that consist of magnetic disk (platters), actuator and an electrical circuit. This component have a function for saving files, and without this the computer cannot running because there is no operating system. This component is a vital component in a computer. In an disk drive, there is an RPM that indicate the write speed and the read speed of the harddrive. Many people said that RPM is not take effect anymore to the harddrive performance. But, in some experiment, the highest RPM have a better performance such as have a better write speed and a read speed.

Along with time there is a new innovation that make the storage device more powerful than before and even claimed that the speed is 1000x more faster than a conventional disk drive. That is M2 SSD (Solid State Drive)

3rd is a DVD Optical Drive

This component consist of an optical, electrical circuit and others. This component have a function for R/W (Read or Write) a CD (Compact Disc). This is very important component that we must have, because i believe that someday we will need this. This component work with a laser device that have same function as human eyes. 

4th is a Mouse

A mouse is a component / device that detect the surface and convert to two-dimensional motion. This component consist of an electronical device, an optical and others This component usually used for gaming. Honestly i also use this for gaming. 

In a mouse, there is DPI (Dots per Inch), which means the highest DPI will result a high speed of the pointer in a monitor. I recommed you to choose the mouse that have many DPI option, because i believe that you will need other DPI option in some condition.

5th is a RAM

RAM or can be called Random Access Memory is a type of memory that can be accessed randomly to speed up the system. This memory is similar to short-term memory in our brains. The amount of RAM cannot be changed although we use a software or whatever. It's different with the virtual memory in our computers. If you want to add the amount of your RAM, you need to upgrade or maybe add a few more pieces.

6th is a Keyboard

A keyboard is a component that use for a typewriting. There are 2 kinds of keyboard, that are mechanical keyboard and membrane keyboard. 

A mechanical keyboard is consist of spring on the switch. This type of keyboard have a very loud clicky sound when we press the cap. This keyboard usually used for gaming. This keyboard have a very expensive price rather than a membrane keyboard.

A membrane keyboard is consist of silicone below the cap. This type of keyboard have a silent sound, but it will feel a little bit hard when we press it. This keyboard usually used in an office and others. This keyboard have a cheapest price than the mechanical keyboard.

What is a Software ?

A Software is a program that used by a computer. So, What it's look like ? There are many software in a computer, such as Microsoft Office, Web Browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge), Calculator. Operating System is also a software. The main point is that software is a set of instruction that tells all hardware what to do. Here are some examples of software in a computer.

1st is a Word Processor

According to wikipedia, "a word processor is an application that used for composing, editing, formating, and printing any documents". A word processor is a software that used for a typewriting, manipulating and storing any text that entered from a keyboard. There are many kinds of word processing software, such as Microsoft Office Word, Word Pad, maybe Notepad, WPS Office, and others.  

2nd is a Numerical(Data)-Processing Software

A numerical(data) processing software is a software that use for manipulating, editing, composing, and also used for recap data in a computer. There are many kinds of numerical processors, such as Microsoft Office Excel.

3rd is a Graphic Editing Software

A graphic editing software is a program that used for manipulating and editing a picture. This program usually used for make a logo, designing clothes, make a brochure and others. There are many kinds of graphic editing software such as Corel Draw, Photoshop, PicsArt, and others.

4th is a Video Editing Software

A video editing software is a program that used for manipulating, editing, and processing any kinds of video, and maybe can be used for making animation. This program frequently used by A Filmmaker, to make their video more attractive. There are many kinds of video editing software, such as Adobe After Effects, Sony Vegas, Camtasia and others.
